Greetings from Vermont

Here Phil poses in front of his restored 72 Chevelle. So cool! "White Rocks" State Forest, everywhere you go there's breath taking mountains and rapids and falls. Curt and I took a walk along one of them today. Thursday I met Phil and Christina for the first time. I have been looking forward to this day for a long time now. They are just as delighful as Curt had described them. Curt is having such a great time visiting and spending time with them. He loves them soooooo much. This is a Marble Church, inside and out, located in the town of Proctor where Christina and Philip live with their Mom.

Trip to North Carolina

It's the best time I can have being with my Sophia! I went down to pick up my mom, she has been taking care of Sophia for the last 5 weeks. She's going to miss her sooooo much now that she's back in Maryland. I know I do and I only spent a few hours with her. She's such a doll! You can see her picking flowers below. Also Elizabeth walking Merry and Mickey. Mickey adores Elizabeth. And Merry adores Sophia, never leaves her side. On the way down to North Carolina I stopped and visited with MaryAnne and Dennis, they just moved in to a brand new house. It was a very short visit but I did get to see Bradley and Jamie too. It was so nice to see them! The house is absolutely charming! I can't wait to go down again and spend a whole weekend.

Some more pics from Easter

Cutie pie with Curt... I just finally got these pictures taken on Easter weekend from Phillip. I thought there were some good ones, like these of my Mom, Sara and Diana.

Our First Anniversary

Below is a letter Curt emailed me Friday. We just celebrated our 1st anniversary yesterday. I was gone this weekend so we went to dinner tonight. The best dinner ever. Casey Jones treated us so nice. I had the Chilean Sea Bass with lobster mashed potatoes. Curt had Roasted Duck in a raspberry sauce with polenta, so incredibly delicious. Last night when I got home with my Mom from North Carolina, Curt had a wonderful dinner waiting for us on the table. Also on the table were a dozen roses, a card, a cake that said "I love you" and a lovely wrapped gift. Inside I found a heart shape pendant. I can't believe a entire year has passed us by. Celia, Though we see each other every day, and I know you will only be gone for a few days, I want you to know that I will miss you. My days aren't complete without seeing your face each morning. My thoughts and focus difficult because I have you on my mind so many times throughout the day. My eyes clear, because all I see and believe in, is a future with you. My heart strong, because you pump new life into it every day that I'm with you. And though there are numerous things that I am uncertain of, there is one that I am. My unconditional love for you. Today, tomorrow and for whatever time I have left on this earth... I thank God every day for bringing us together. You are so important to me and I will always love you! I just wanted to tell you this now, since I wont be waking up with you on Sunday morning, our first anniversary. I am so looking forward to our evening out at Casey Jones on Monday.

Mother's Day

I enjoyed a GREAT mother's day, hope everyone had a good day too!
It started by going to El Dorado's Restaurant in LaPlata for brunch. Then Curt and I went to Ingleside Plantation Winery for wine tasting in Oak Grove, Virginia (near Colonial Beach). We then visited Curt's best friend Billy and his wife Marcy. They live just a short 10 minutes from the winery. It was such a great day. I finally got to meet Billy and Marcy. There were a couple of other times we almost stopped in to see them, like the time we came back from the Outer Banks, NC., they have a great place, I look forward to them coming for a visit soon. Here's some pictures of the day.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

At Ingleside Winery every mother received a rose today.

The courtyard at the winery was enchanted, full of nature's wonders, lots of flowers, beautiful surroundings, my favorite, this fountain.
Curt relaxing at the winery

I found out what this bush was called at the winery courtyard when I found the same ones in Marcy's garden.... Oregon Holly.

Petunias were in every color and variety, here's just a few!

It was facinating bird watching at Billy & Marcy's place.
